Northern Fleet (NF) carrier-based fighter regiment headed by Col Evgeny Kuznetsov started scheduled training.

They practice takeoffs and landings on the deck of aircraft-carrying cruiser Admiral Flota Sovetskogo Soyuza Kuznetsov at the fleet test ranges in the Barents Sea, as well as perform associated drills to strengthen flight skills.

In the first day, NF aviators carried out 21 air sorties (12 – on Su-33 fighters, 9 – on Su-25UTG fighters). Also, they performed 10 hook-arrested landings, 25 low-passes over the deck, 5 deck-touches, and 10 takeoffs.
