A meeting was arranged in Baltic Fleet (BF) Officers' Club with participation of BF Commander Vice Admiral Viktor Chirkov and directors of Yantar Shipyard, chiefs of the fleet logistic services, division commanders, and ship commanding officers.

Baltic Fleet command talked on ships serviceability with Yantar Shipyard

Before opening of the meeting, Vice Admiral Viktor Chirkov congratulated Capt 2 rank Alexei Apanovich on appointment to the post of Missile Boat Division Commander and promotion to Capt 1 rank. The fleet commander triumphantly presented new shoulder-straps to the officer.
The agenda included issues of service maintenance and repair of BF ships. Vice Admiral Viktor Chirkov emphasized that technical state of warships seriously affects the fleet's combat training program. Chief of BF Technical Maintenance Dept Capt 1 rank Vladimir Triapichnikov reported on the most severe problems of serviceability in auxiliary ship divisions.
Discussion of maintenance issues was conducted with participation of Alexander Konovalov, Acting Director General of Yantar Shipyard and Alexander Marazan, the shipyard's Assistant Director General for state order.
Some decisions regarding Baltic Fleet's orders were made as a result of the meeting.
