USS Carr to visit Northern Fleet

USS Carr to visit Northern Fleet 30.08.2011

In accordance with defense ministry's Foreign Relations Program 2011, American frigate USS Carr arrives at Northern Fleet (NF) on Sept 2.

Earlier, the ship visited Baltic Fleet and called at ports of St. Petersburg and Baltiysk.

NF large ASW ship Admiral Levchenko will act as a host ship. Her crew is experienced in intercourse with foreign colleagues as the ship has been on many long-range cruises and called at numerous foreign ports.

American crew will have eventful cultural program and sport competitions – traditional tug-of-war and soccer.

Protocol activities with participation of Northern Fleet command and a press conference on board the ship will be held in the first day of the visit.

The official visit of USS Carr to Northern Fleet will last till Sept 5.
