Solemn events in remembrance of Russian warriors fallen in the Crimean War 1853-1856 were held in Sevastopol with participation of Black Sea Fleet's and Ukrainian Navy's servicemen.

Memorial service was made at the Bratskoye Cemetery to those who died defending Sevastopol, Russia's stronghold at the Black Sea. Honor guards of Black Sea Fleet (BSF) and Ukrainian Navy paraded on the square in front of the St. Nicholas Church. Military bands played Russian and Ukrainian national anthems, and then there was a solemn meeting attended by city officials, BSF and Ukrainian Navy commands, priests, and residents of Sevastopol.

The meeting finished with marching of Russian and Ukrainian honor guard companies. Participants of the memorable events laid wreaths and flowers at graves of the Crimean War heroes resting at the Bratskoye Cemetery.
