Servicemen of Baltic Fleet (BF) Naval Engineer Battalion headed by Col Igor Grishin have neutralized over 400 munitions remained since the Great Patriotic War.

Four German demolition charges, 390 artillery shells, 5 mortar bombs, and 2 faustpatrones were found near 41st km of Kaliningrad-Baltiysk Highway.

Engineers carried away all explosive objects to BF Range Khmelevka and disposed them.

Every year BF engineers neutralize up to 70,000 explosive objects. Throughout 66-year history of BF Naval Engineer Battalion, its personnel has disposed over 4 mln WW2 munitions found in Kaliningrad region.
