SSGN Severodvinsk Returned From Sea Trials 06.10.2011

Nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine (SSGN) Severodvinsk returned from first shipyard's sea trials.

The sub's commanding officer Capt 1 rank Sergei Mitiayev reported about completion of the first sortie to Marat Abizhanov, Sevmash's Deputy Director General and Capt 1 rank Mikhail Volozhinsky, White Sea Naval Base Deputy Commander.

According to Vladimir Dobrovolsky who is in charge of the submarine's delivery, the trials have passed effectively. All scheduled tests of onboard systems were carried out in accordance with plan. After elimination of all defects SSGN Severodvinsk will take the sea again.
