Vympel Shipyard To Build 12 Mangust Boats In 2012 26.10.2011

JSC Vympel Shipbuilding Plant (Rybinsk, Russia) raises production of Project 12150 Mangust fast-speed boats. The shipyard has signed contracts for 12 boats to be built in 2012, said the yard's deputy director general for marketing Dmitry Belyakov at 15th international exhibition Interpolitekh-2011 being held in Moscow.

According to him, the shipyard has delivered 6 Mangust-class boats in 2011; among customers were Russian Navy, FSB, and Customs Service. Other two boats will be completed till the current year is over.

Project 12150 fast-speed patrol boat was designed by Almaz Central Design Bureau (St. Petersburg).
