Having moved from Kamchatka to Primorsky Krai, Pacific Fleet (PF) diesel electric submarine Ust-Kamchatsk on Nov 30 arrived in Vladivostok for further service, reported RIA Novosti referring to PF Information Support Group.

"Being redeployed from Northeast Command, diesel submarine Ust-Kamchatsk is going to arrive in Vladivostok. The crew have performed combat drills underway", said the interviewee.

According to him, SSK Ust-Kamchatsk will officially join Vladivostok submarine force in Dec 1; Uliss Bay will become the sub's permanent basing site.

Ust-Kamchatsk is the first in group of submarines which will be redeployed from Kamchatka to Vladivostok under the submarine fleet reform", specified the interviewee.

He noted that submariners arriving in Vladivostok would be provided with all living conditions. Their families will be accommodated in the Snegovaya Pad residential district, and crewmen will obtain service housing next to the naval base in the Uliss Bay.

"The newcomers will be triumphantly met on the pier; among attendants of the meeting ceremony will be PF top officers, servicemen of Vladivostok submarine force, representatives of Russian Orthodox Church, veterans, and public figures. The festive event won't go without traditional piglet roast", said the PF spokesman.
