Black Sea Fleet (BSF) divers are conducting scheduled practical dives to the depths down to 120 meters from BSF rescue ship Epron at deep-sea test range off Crimea. Drills are held under supervision of BSF Rescue Ship Brigade EO Capt 2 rank Sergei Ignatov.

Such exercise is essential part of divers' training process and important stage of control over diving units' functional ability. For the first time, experts of the 40-th State Institute of Russian Defense Ministry and divers of Russian Navy's special search-and-rescue unit were involved in the diving drills held on Epron. Totally, it is planned to test professional aptitude of 35 divers.

All drills are carried out with diving equipment available to Black Sea Fleet. Normally, divers perform training tasks in standard deep-sea suits. Also, they use normobaric diving armors capable to work effectively at depths lower than 300 meters. All elements of divers' work are recorded by video cameras of remotely-controlled submersible Tiger.

It should be noted that experts of defense ministry and the Navy used to work with the crew of rescue ship Epron before. In the summer 2011, they jointly took part in the Bold Monarch 2011 international search-and-rescue exercise.
