JSC Zvezdochka Ship Repair Center delivered Project 12411T small-size gunnery ship MAK-160 to Caspian Flotilla (CF), reports PortNews. The ship has passed complete repair and modernization at Zvezdochka's affiliate company in Astrakhan. The ship obtained two new propulsion engines, upgraded gas turbines, new artillery armament, communication and navigation systems.

MAK-160 joined Caspian Flotilla in 1988 and has been mothballed for several recent years. It was considered that the ship would be written off and utilized. Although no details of the ship's modernization were disclosed, it is reported that MAK-160 became more cost-effective thanks to renewed powerplant.

Displacement of the Project 12411T small-size gunnery ship is 392 tons; length is 56.1 meters; beam is 10.2 meters; draft is 2.5 meters; fuel range at 40 knots is 760 miles, at cruising speed of 13 knots – 1,400 miles.

Prior to the modernization, the ship's armament included 76-mm gun mount AK-176, two 30-mm gun mounts AK-630, and four missile launchers BM-14-17.
