Military procuracy found excess of power in actions of commanding staff of SSBN Yekaterinburg suffered from fire in Dec 2011 and an official in Northern Fleet HQ, said a spokesman for Norther Fleet (NF) Military Procuracy Colonel (Justice) Alexander Grigoriev on Jan 18.

"NF Military Procuracy addressed materials of inquiry to investigative department in order to charge the submarine's commanding officer, one of senior officers, and officials of NF Technical Department in accordance with clause 286/3/c, RF Criminal Code (excess of service authorities)", Grigoriev said.

Materials of inquiry were addressed to NF Military Investigative Department on Jan 13, he specified.

"It was found during the inquiry that the mentioned officials permitted to begin repair works without appropriate documentation", reports RIA Novosti citing Grigoriev.

"Presently, NF Military Investigative Department has received materials of procuracy inquiry regarding mentioned military officials. Appropriate investigative actions will be held under the criminal case initiated earlier", told a spokesman for NF Military Investigative Department Oleg Pinchuk RIA Novosti.
