BLACKSEAFOR Planning Group Convenes in Krasnodar Region 15.02.2012

Naval officials from Black Sea countries are meeting in Divnomorskoye (Krasnodar region, Russia) on the basis of BLACKSEAFOR task group's permanent coordination center to plan exercise coming in 2012, spokesman for Black Sea Fleet (BSF) Capt 1 rank Vyacheslav Trukhachev told Central Navy Portal.

The Russian Federation took over command of the international naval task group last year and is represented by BLACKSEAFOR Commander – BSF Chief of Staff Capt 1 rank Yury Zemsky.

The parties coordinated the operations plan for the coming BLACKSEAFOR activation scheduled in Apr 2012 and discussed issues of practical cooperation for the joint exercise.

The session of BLACKSEAFOR planning group will last till Feb 17.
