Task group of Caspian Flotilla (CF) ships took the sea for combat training purposes.

CF flagship frigate Tatarstan, missile boats Budennovsk and Borovsk will spend a month at sea performing various drills separately and within the task group.

In particular, CF naval mariners will demonstrate professional skills during the exercise; one of episodes will be artillery engagement against "enemy" surface ships. Servicemen will spend much time holding counter-sabotage drills, practicing defense of ships anchored in unprotected harbor, and mastering joint maneuvers in different formations day and night.

The exercise will be finished with artillery firing by AK-630 gun mounts at towed shield imitating a ship. The firing drill will be suppressed by the "enemy" aviation.

At the next phase of qualification drills, crews of frigate Tatarstan and missile boats Budennovsk and Borovsk will fire at towed target by Uran and Termite antiship missile.
