Black Sea Fleet Air Defense Regiment Improves Practical Efficiency

Black Sea Fleet Air Defense Regiment Improves Practical Efficiency 02.04.2012
Text: Southern Military District Press Service
Field drills of Black Sea Fleet (BSF) Air Defense Regiment continue near Kacha Air Base, Crimea. The purpose is to practice interaction between regimental and battalion command posts during target search/detection/assignment, and improve personnel's practical skills in launcher deployment and real target engagement.

Due to good cooperation with the fleet's airbase command, antiaircrafters plan their work in accordance with scheduled flights day and night. This makes possible to train personnel effectively even within tight schedule of the field drills.

The current drills are one of the regiment's preparation phases for qualification firings to be held in the summer at Southern Military District and Kapustin Yar Range.
