Moscow and Washington carried out first telemetry data exchange within the framework of the new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START-3), a spokesman for US Department of State Jamie Mannina said.

As for him, the parties exchanged that information on Apr 5.

On Apr 5, Russian representatives received telemetry records of SLBM Trident-2 flight test held by US Navy; on the same day in Moscow, American embassy obtained telemetry of Russian ballistic missile's flight test, said Mannina.

It is uncertain what exactly missile he meant. Ballistic missiles Trident-2 are mounted on submarines, reports ITAR-TASS.

According to Vzglyad, Moscow and Washington also agreed to inform each other on number of ICBM test launches. However, Russia may withdraw from START in case of gross violation of bilateral agreements, said Mikhail Ulyanov, director of Security and Disarmament Dept.

Later on, Russian deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov pointed out that the two countries were continuing bilateral inspections under START-3.

The new treaty took effect on Feb 5, 2011. It provides that Bilateral Consultative Commission must convene at least twice a year in order to discuss technical issues related to the START implementation. The first session was held in March-April 2011.
