JSC Zvezdochka Ship Repair Center (Severodvinsk) plans to return Project 667BDRM nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) Verkhoturye to Russian Navy in Nov 2012; the sub is presently passing overhaul.

The yard is to complete all repair works on the hull, outboard systems, damage control system, equipment of steam-generating plant, and other shipboard devices.

According to Russian Navy command, much attention should be paid on the submarines of this project through next few years, since their performance characteristics still meet all present-day requirements. That helps Project 667BDRM submarines play important role in Russia's maritime strategic nuclear force.
