Joint military parade will take place in the Hero City of Sevastopol on May 9; servicemen of Russian Black Sea Fleet (BSF) and Ukrainian Navy will hold the Victory Day parade together.

The parade troops will be reviewed by BSF Commander RADM Alexander Fedotenkov and Ukrainian Navy Commander ADM Viktor Maksimov.

About 2,000 servicemen of Sevastopol garrison will participate in the parade. Traditionally, Russian and Ukrainian mariners will march past shoulder to shoulder.

Prior to the parade, three color companies of BSF mariners dressed in Soviet WW2-style uniform will bear the copy of Victory Banner, national flag of the Russian Federation, flag of Russian Defense Ministry, and standards of 10 Soviet fronts fought against fascists.

In the evening, a concert will be held downtown Sevastopol. Festive events will be finished by traditional fireworks.

First joint parade rehearsal took place in Sevastopol on May 3 at the Nakhimov square, just where it will be held on the Victory Day. Final rehearsal is scheduled on May 7.
