Caspian Flotilla (CF) marine units and crews of warships carried out anti-terror exercise in Astrakhan. Over 250 servicemen, 15 combat vehicles, and about 10 surface ships were involved.

During the exercise, commanders of local military units were shown methods and procedures of interaction between duty service and counter-terror units when repelling terror attacks.

Antisubmarine and anti-subversive activities of ships' watch services were demonstrated to commanders of ship divisions and units.

Personnel rendered first aid to "injured" servicemen and practiced actions following detection of explosive devices.
