Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief VADM Viktor Chirkov on Aug 6, 2012 visited the Makeyev State Rocket Center, reports the bureau's press service.

Viktor Chirkov had a very eventful visiting program in the State Rocket Center. He held a work meeting with directors of the company and discussed results and prospects for further development, as well as basic issues concerning operation of maritime strategic missile systems operated by Russian Navy. Then the high guest visited the center's historical museum and had a tour around laboratory and experimental facilities.

In addition, the Navy Commander familiarized with information and measurement center providing control of ballistic missile flights and obtaining real-time telemetry information.

Commenting his visit to the State Rocket Center, Viktor Chirkov said: "When I saw enthusiasm of employees working here, I clearly understood how rich our country is. And the main treasure is people and their intellect quite powerful to provide us, military men, with strong weapons. I saw today how good your experts do their job. And the main thing I want you to know is that we're absolutely confident in the weapons you make but don't want them to be ever practically used. What I saw here today is really impressive. I saw what it means to produce arms for submarine fleet. There's a great difference between what I expected and what I really saw. Once again, I'm confident in those people and want to thank them for the work they do".

In his visit, Viktor Chirkov was accompanied by his assistant Capt 1 Rank Vladimir Maslov, Chief of Russian Navy Missile and Artillery Service Dmitry Kazadayev, and Chief of Russian Navy Nuclear Security Dept Capt 1 Rank Vladimir Ralkin.
