Lead multi-functional emergency rescue ship Spasatel Karev (Project MPSV07, serial number 701, power 4MW) on Sept 18 left the quay of Nevsky Shipyard Ltd for sea trials.

The project was developed by JSC Maritime Engineering and Design Bureau in St. Petersburg.

Nevsky Shipyard Ltd is situated 40 km away from St. Petersburg in the town of Schlisselburg on the left bank of Neva River. It is one of the oldest water transport companies in Northeast Russia. The yard is specialized in shipbuilding since 1952. It produces river- and sea-class vessels and performs all kinds of ship repair. Slipway of Nevsky Shipyard is capable to put afloat and lay up for repairs ships with length up to 140 meters and dock weight up to 2,500 tons.
