Trials of upgraded antisubmarine helicopter Ka-27M started at Northern Fleet (NF), said Capt 1 Rank Vadim Serga, the fleet's press secretary.

"The helicopter carries out underway landings on decks of NF destroyers; operation of onboard systems is being tested as well", Serga told Interfax.

Antisubmarine helicopter Ka-27M is equipped with new radar capable to perform all-round long-range scanning and simultaneously tracking dozens of targets.
