Having arrived at Black Sea Fleet (BSF) Novorossiysk Naval Base, a newly-built Russian Grachonok-class counter-terror boat began state acceptance trials and will be commissioned into Black Sea Fleet in the nearest time.

The boat was developed by JSC Vympel Design Bureau (Nizhniy Novgorod), built by Zelenodolsk Shipyard (Tatarstan, Russia), and designed for counter-terror and counter-sabotage activities at basing sites and approaches, as well as assistance to Frontier Service when protecting Russian state borders.

According to experts of Novorossiysk Naval Base, despite relatively shallow draft, Grachonok-class boats are capable to accomplish wide range of tasks typical for larger ships.
