Russian Coast Guard detained Norwegian freight vessel

13.06.2008 The Norwegian freight vessel Tello was detained by a Russian Coast Guard vessel in the Barents Sea. According to the Murmansk FSB, the vessel had crossed the Russian-Norwegian border 40 sea miles from the point previously announced and five hours ahead of planned schedules.

The Tello was heading from Kirkenes in Norway to Murmansk. The captain has admitted guilt and has paid a fine for the violation.
