The aircraft stationed on the Admiral Kuznetsov on Wednesday flew missions as planned over the Mediterranean, Captain First Class Igor Dygalo, an aide to the commander of the Russian Navy, told Ria Novosti.

“On January 28, aircraft based on the carrier performed planned flights over the central part of the Mediterranean, west of the Island of Crete. Su-33 aircraft performed 14 flights overall, and Ka-27 and Ka-29 helicopters performed four,” said Dygalo.

According to the official, the tasks set before the flying pilots were met in full. The technical means and weapon systems of the aircraft are in order. “The heavy carrier Admiral Kuznetsov continues its mission,” Dygalo noted.
