20.09.2009

According to online Yantarny Kray, over thousand Russian border guards are currently servicing in Abkhazia protecting more than 350 km of borderline (including 215 km of sea border). Ships and boats of Black and Azov Seas Coast Guard Department of FSB Coast Guard are also protecting the border.

We recall that Vladimir Vysotsky, Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief said in June that Russian Navy base would be established in Ochamchir in 2-3 years, but "nothing large-size will be basing there".
