Almaz shipyard formed backlog of orders until 2012

Backlog of Almaz Shipbuilding Company is full until 2012. That was said by Leonid Grabovets, the company's Director General at activation ceremony of icebreaking tug Nevskaya Zastava on Oct 13.

Sea trials of Project 22460 coast guard corvette are started; the ship is supposed to be delivered by the end of the year. It was designed by Severnoye Design Bureau (St. Petersburg) to protect the sea borders and territorial waters, and also for counter-terrorism and anti-piracy operations as well. The vessel's displacement is 630 tonnes, speed is 30 knots, operating range is 3 500 miles, endurance is 30 days, length is 62.5 meters. The ship is equipped with the newest navigation and comm facilities, carries a helicopter and has ship control automation system.

Construction of two Project 21630 Buyan corvettes is on progress; their delivery for the Navy is planned in 2011-2012.

Additionally, two boats of Project 12200 Sobol and three ships of Project 10412 Svetlyak are currently being constructed at Almaz shipyard under foreign order; one Project 10410 vessel for FSB Coast Guard is also under construction.

Over 1 000 boats and small-size ships have been built and delivered to customers within the shipyard's history.
