Families of those died at Ulyanovsk fire will be recompensed

Russian Ministry of Defense will provide all appropriate payments for families of two servicemen died in fire at Ulyanovsk naval depots on Nov 13, says MoD Press Service and Information Department.

Families of died servicemen of FSUE Arsenal 31 WO Vladislav Pankov and Seaman Ivan Kuznetsov will get nonrecurrent subsidy, insurance money and Military Insurance Company payments. Family of Vladislav Pankov will additionally get 3-room apartment in a new house at Filatov St., Ulyanovsk.

The fire at naval depots happened on Nov 13 in Ulyanovsk claimed lives of 2 men; 60 suffered; 6 are still under treatment, of whom 2 are in intensive care. About 3,000 were evacuated from danger area due to flying shells and blanks. 17 engineer combat groups are continuing work in the area. The criminal case was initiated on the basis of part 3 clause 293 ("negligence resulted in death of more than one person") and part 3 clause 249 of RF Criminal Code ("violation of directions for use hazardous items resulted in death of more than one person"). Arsenal chief Capt 1 rank Andrei Radchenko has been temporarily dismissed from office.
