Warhead for Bulava is not a poser – MoD

Warhead for Bulava is not a poser – MoD 11.12.2009
It is not and "has never been" a problem to create nuclear warhead for SLBM Bulava, said Gen. Col. Vladimir Verkhovtsev, Director of 12th Department of Russian MoD in interview to ITAR-TASS.

"The warhead for Bulava has been developed long ago. We're looking forward finishing test launches and commissioning of the missile itself", he said.

He was not specific in amount of nuclear warheads. "We will have just that number what we are told to", he answered. Perspective solid-fueled SLBM Bulava is to be installed at Project 955 Borei SSBNs.
