Almost 100,000 tonnes cargo were delivered to naval bases at North, Arctic and Far East regions in 2009; 100% of supply plan has been fulfilled, informed Russian Navy's information activities office.

"In total, during navigation period of 2009, RN auxiliary vessels and leased ships delivered 99,600 tonnes cargo to outlying bases", says the press-release.

Sailors delivered over 44,000 tonnes of provisions and equipment and over 55,000 tonnes of fuel and lubrication materials.

The vessels brought reserves to 59 bases at Polar region (Northern Fleet) and 126 bases at Far East (Pacific Fleet).

Wintering resources were also delivered to deployment sites of Leningrad Military Command and Far East Military Command, says the press-release.
