Vneshekonombank to credit construction of new shipyard 29.12.2009
Credit committee of Vneshekonombank (VEB) decided to extend 1st tranche of credit funds for United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) to construct a shipyard at Far East shipbuilding facility Zvezda, said Roman Trotsenko, acting President of USC at the conference on shipbuilding industry development held in Vladivostok.

Currently, the second USC's credit request for construction of another shipyard is under consideration of the bank.

According to Mr. Trotsenko, USC prepared shipbuilding contracts totaling about $5 bln for those shipyards.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin ordered to transfer uncommitted funds appropriated for interest rate subsidies while procurement of Russian-made vessels from 2009 to 2010. Summarizing the conference on Russia's shipbuilding industry development, the premier gave corresponding instruction.
