25.02.2010 Russian tanker Roskem-1 took the ground in Kazakhstan zone of the Caspian Sea, reports Kazakhstan Today referring to Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport.
The accident happened off Urdiuk Cape in the night of Feb 22. However, the information appeared in media only several days after.
According to the source, the tanker took the ground "when choosing anchorage to wait for icebreaker assistance". No one suffered among the crewmembers.
Russian icebreaker Kapitan Meitsak was dispatched to assist the tanker. She was supposed to arrive at the accident site on Feb 24.
