Alekseev Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoil Vessels (branch of United Shipbuilding Corporation) negotiates with Rosoboronexport on construction of four fast-speed air-cavity boats Serna, said Georgy Antsev, Director General of the bureau.

Fast-speed air-cavity landing boat Serna is designed for transportation and landing on unequipped coast wheeled and tracked vehicles as well as armed personnel. The vessel is capable to carry up to 92 men and up to 45 tons cargo.

"Once the contract is signed, its value will make several billions rubles", said Antsev not specifying a country which might purchase this equipment.

Besides, the bureau is currently negotiates on equipment production for Lukoil and Gazprom in terms of their technical reequipment programs, added Antsev.

"The talks process is usually slow as customers want to have cheap vessels in short term", explained Antsev.

Alekseev Central Design Bureau along with production of civil vessels works on fast-speed warships for Russian Navy and Frontier Service. In July 2007, 15% shares being government property were handed over to authorized capital of United Shipbuilding Corporation.
