Delegation from Sevmash visited Nikolayev shipyard

Delegation from Sevmash visited Nikolayev shipyard 10.03.2010
Defense shipyard Sevmash (Severodvinsk) which performs repair and modernization of Indian aircraft carrier Vikramaditya (former Russian Admiral Gorshkov) asked Ukrainian shipbuilders who made the carrier to share experience.

Delegation from Sevmash headed by Director General Nikolai Kalistratov has visited Black Sea Shipyard in Nikolayev. As a result, three top specialists of Ukrainian shipyard including Evgeny Yentis, constructor-in-chief of Admiral Gorshkov were invited to Severodvinsk. Black Sea Shipyard in Nikolayev was the only Soviet shipyard building attack aircraft carrying vessels with the length over 300 meters. That is why Ukrainian knowledge and experience in construction of aircraft carriers might be useful to Russian shipyard.

According to Sevmash, INS Vikramaditya (Almighty) is approx 70% completed.
