PF mariners pass next exam at sea 24.03.2010
Pacific Fleet (PF) divisions started to carry out course tasks. First who took the sea were large ASW ships Admiral Tributs and Admiral Vinogradov under command of Capt 1 rank Andrei Kuznetsov and Capt 1 rank Petr Podkopailo respectively.

Two divisions are involved in training tasks under the general superintendence of Rear Admiral Alexander Zhuchkov, executive officer of PF all-arms division.

At first the warships sailed separately then trained joined maneuvering and other tasks.

Strained combat drills have been lasting for several days now. Gunners trained in accuracy of fire at sea targets, AA teams fired at aerial targets.

In accordance with results of drills, actions of all commanders and staffs will be appraised, reported PF combat training department.

Culmination of the exercise will be a dueling situation; two diesel electric submarines under command of Capt 2 rank Sergei Volkov and Capt 2 rank Yury Konkin will carry out sudden attack on "enemy" surface ships. So, torpedo firings and attack repelling drills are in prospect.
