Delegation from town of Sarov made patronage visit to same-named sub

Delegation from town of Sarov made patronage visit to same-named sub 25.03.2010
Sergei Yakovlev, deputy director of Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics and chairman of Navy veterans' public organization in company with Anatoly Volkov, president of Sarov City Council's audit chamber brought gifts to crew of submarine Sarov from the patron city and Nuclear center as well as paintings of Sarov artists and children's handcrafts made by winners of contest in memory of Admiral F. Ushakov.

Patrons took part in festivities on Submariners' Day, visited Zvezdochka shipyard, and had a look at living and housing conditions of submarine Sarov crew. As for S Yakovlev, all gifts of Sarov residents came in useful.

Submariners in their turn handed over to prospective Sarov Museum of Battle Glory some welfare items which have historical value even now. Those are naval flags, officers' uniform seen in the motion picture "72 meters", and the sub's dishware with naval decor.
