Black Sea Fleet (BSF) large landing ship Yamal Tuesday morning overturned Ukrainian tug Bugsky at fairway of Dnepro-Bugsky estuary while calling at Ukrainian port of Nikolayev.

The harbor tug of Nikolayev port overturned when Yamal speeded up while towing. According to captain of Nikolayev commercial seaport Sergei Riabchikov, the incident happened due to a pilot who could not synchronize speeds of the ships. Bugsky remained on surface, having overturned bottom up. The tug's crew managed to escape. Large landing ship Yamal was towed by another vessel and moored at Nikolayev embankment. Upset Bugsky was towed to the pier of Nikolayev commercial seaport. Floating crane will turn the vessel into normal position.

That was not fault of Yamal's commander, added Riabchikov.

Large landing ship Yamal arrived to Nikolayev to participate in festivities associated with 65th anniversary of the Victory.
