Baltic Fleet (BF) large landing ship Kaliningrad moored at Belgian port Zeebrugge on Friday and will stay there till May 31, informs RIA Novosti.

This unofficial visit of Russian warship to Belgium is intended to develop friendly relations between Russian and Belgium navies.

Program of the visit includes meeting of Russian officers with Belgium Navy command. The ship will be open for public.

Large landing ship Kaliningrad has displacement of 4,000 tons and carrying capacity of up to 500 tons. The ship built in 80's in Poland is designed for landing operations; in current politico-military environment this class of ships is used in peacekeeping and humanitarian operations.
