Seminar on Fairway of Peace exercise started in Sevastopol 16.06.2010

Working seminar on preparation for Russian-Ukrainian headquarters exercise Fairway of Peace 2010 has started in Sevastopol at facilities of Ukrainian Naval Academy.

Russian working group is headed by Capt 1 rank Alexander Chesnokov, Black Sea Fleet director of combat training department; Ukrainian group is led by Rear Admiral Viktor Nosenko, Ukrainian Navy deputy commander for combat training.

During the seminar, Russian and Ukrainian servicemen will finalize scenario and technical issues of the coming exercise, as well as approve lists of participants.

The seminar on Fairway of Peace 2010 will be finished on June 18.

It should be noted that the objectives of Russian-Ukrainian headquarters exercise Fairway of Peace 2010 which will be held in June 21-24 are reaching a uniform understanding of joint naval operations, checking interoperability of command authorities, and working on joint procedures and documents while planning search-and-rescue operations.
