Import of defense hi-tech causes dependency – poll results

Import of defense hi-tech causes dependency – poll results 13.01.2011
Text: RusNavy.com
Import of advanced defense technologies makes Russian Armed Forces dependent. That's an opinion of almost a half of visitors (46.08%) of the Central Navy Portal attended the poll and answered the question whether Russia must buy newest military developments.

One third of respondents (34.30%) consider Russia must import defense technologies and integrate into global community. Every tenth pollee (9.88%) regards Russian military industry hopelessly lags behind world arms manufacturers, and almost same number of respondents (9.74%) holds to peaceful opinion – they preferred building of roads, hospitals and schools instead of hi-tech imports.

688 visitors of the Central Navy Portal took part in the poll conducted since Nov 25, 2010 till Jan 13, 2011.
