Pacific Fleet (PF) large ASW ship Admiral Vinogradov will pay scheduled official visit to the capital city of Seychelles Victoria on March 4, reports PF Commander's press secretary Capt 1 rank Roman Martov.

Fifth PF task force consisting of large ASW ship Admiral Vinogradov with two helicopters on board, sea-going salvage tug SB-522 and tanker Pechenga sailed off Vladivostok on Nov 17, 2010 to participate in anti-piracy operation and arrived to the Gulf of Aden on Dec 22, 2010. There are PF marine units on board the ships.

Visit of Admiral Vinogradov to Seychelles is held under PF international cooperation program and will last till March 7. Command of the anti-piracy task force plans to pay visits to Russian ambassador, authorities of Victoria, and Seychelles' top-ranking military officials. Russian marines will play sport games with their colleagues from Seychelles and have a eventful cultural program. Representatives of Russian diaspora and diplomats will also visit the ship.

According to Martov, it is the second visit to Seychelles in Pacific Fleet's contemporary history. In 2009 the island republic was visited by PF task force consisting of large ASW ship Admiral Tributs, tanker Boris Butoma, and salvage tug MB-99.

When the visit is finished, Admiral Vinogradov will continue anti-piracy watch near the Horn of Africa. The fifth PF task force has escorted over 10 international convoys; all escorts were successfully completed, pointed out the official.
