Having completed pre-cruise preparations, Black Sea Fleet (BSF) large landing ship Caesar Kunikov left Sevastopol on Oct 1. The ship will carry out seven calls at ports of Greece and Montenegro within the nearest month, told BSF Information Support Group to Central Navy Portal.

BSF band along with song-and-dance company are also on board the ship; they will participate in numerous cultural activities scheduled during the port calls.

As is expected, the crewmen of Caesar Kunikov and BSF artists will represent Russia at traditional Russian Week festival to be held on Greek island Corfu.

In the port of Pilos, BSF mariners will attend festivities related to anniversary of the Navarino Battle and take part in opening ceremony of the monument to Russian-Greek Friendship in Argostolion (Cephalonia Island).

Also, it is planned to conduct formal calls at Greek ports Piraeus and Alexandroupoli, and Montenegrin port Kotor.

On Oct 3, BSF large landing ship Caesar Kunikov has safely passed straits zone and entered the Mediterranean Sea.
