Russian Navy Development Prospects Discussed in St. Petersburg 31.01.2012

The annual conference of Russian Navy's key personnel is convened in the Kuznetsov Naval Academy in St. Petersburg.

The conference is directed by Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky and attended by commanders of Northern, Pacific, Baltic, and Black Sea fleets, Caspian Flotilla, and other top-ranking officers.

The subject is "Development and organization of Russian Navy in medium and longer terms. Improvement of combat training system".

Participants will discuss and work out common approaches to new architecture of naval forces, determine areas of combat training activities for the current year.

In addition, naval officers along with representatives of design bureaus and defense-manufacturing companies will discuss production of surface ships and submarines equipped with advanced weapons.
