The information about new appointment of ex-minister of defense Anatoly Serdiukov to state-led corporation Rostehnologii is in contrary to fact. There are neither documents nor other official directives specifying status of Serdiukov as an employee (adviser to director general) of State Corporation Rostehnologii, reports RIA Novosti referring to the company's press service.
As was earlier reported, the ex-minister allegedly became an adviser to director of Rostehnologii Sergei Chemezov, and then there were reports in the press that the appointment issue was "under consideration".
Recall that Russian president Vladimir Putin dismissed Serdiukov on Nov 6 and appointed Sergei Shoigu on that post. Serdiukov's ouster is linked to an inquiry into the scandalous corruption case in Russian defense ministry. On Oct 25, Investigative Committee initiated five criminal cases upon frauds when realization of realty, stocks, and land plots belonging to JSC Oboronservis.
Confidants of Serdiukov appointed to leading positions were in the center of scandal.
