Indian specialists to inspect nuclear sub Nerpa

Indian specialists to inspect nuclear sub Nerpa 10.02.2009
An Indian delegation consisting of six people on February 10 will visit the Vostok shipyards, where a nuclear submarine is being readied for new sea trials.

The Indian delegation will spend two days inspecting the Nerpa on the test base of the Amur shipyards in the city of Bolshoy Kamen.

India wants to rent the Russian nuclear submarine, on which on Nov 8, 2008, a sprinkler went off during sea trials, releasing Freon, a poisonous gas, into the air system. Twenty people died in the incident.
