Sea Breeze-2011 planning conference started in Odessa, Ukraine 03.11.2010

Delegation of Ukrainian Navy took part in planning conference preliminary to the Ukrainian-American exercise Sea Breeze-2011; the conference started on Nov 2 in Odessa, Ukraine.

The purpose of the conference is to define concept and place of the coming maneuvers, determine participating countries, approximate strength of forces and their supplies.

Apart from Ukraine and the U.S., representatives of over thirty countries are about to attend the conference.

Planning conference preliminary to the Ukrainian-American exercise Sea Breeze-2011 will last till Nov 5.

The Ukrainian-American annual naval exercise Sea Breeze is held since 1997 in accordance with "Memorandum of understanding and military co-operation between United States Department of Defense and Ukrainian Ministry of Defense" signed in 1993. Although the Sea Breeze exercise is aimed at strengthening combat readiness of Ukrainian Navy, it is also open to other countries.
