The crew of South Korean dry cargo ship captured by Somali pirates in the Arabian Sea is safe. At present, location of the vessel and a 21-men crew has been determined, reported South Korean news agencies on Sunday referring to national foreign ministry.

As a result of the conversation between the vessel and shipowner Samho Shipping Co it was found out that nothing threatens their lives. According to a South Korean diplomat, the ship is captured by Somali pirates; foreign ministry and competent authorities are about to take joint actions and release the ship, reports Interfax.

South Korean dry cargo ship with displacement of 10,000 tons was captured on Saturday in the Indian Ocean, between Oman and India. The ship was carrying chemicals from the United Arab Emirates to Sri Lanka.
