22.01.2010 Helicopter of Spanish maritime rescue service was wrecked over the Mediterranean, off southeast Spain, reports Spanish newspaper El Pais on Jan 21.
The accident happened when the helicopter was performing training flight near Almeria, the capital city of same-named Spanish province. ATC lost contact with the helicopter; later on, rescuers were dispatched to supposed accident area.
There were four men on board the helicopter. One of them was picked up from water with frigorism and head injury; other aircrew members of wrecked helicopter have not been found so far.
The reason of air disaster is uncertain yet. Now SR operation is being conducted at the accident site; rescue boats and helicopters are engaged.
