24.05.2010
The United States will reconsider its stance on North Korea. President Obama made this announcement in response to an official inquiry into the sinking of the South Korean corvette Cheonan on March 26th. According to the results of the inquiry, the corvette was sunk by a torpedo launched from a North Korean submarine. 46 sailors died. Seoul demands apologies from Pyongyang and insists that it should punish the culprits. Washington shares the demands. North Korea denies its involvement in the incident.
