Somali pirates get $100 mln a year

The document specified that pirates themselves got only a quarter of this sum. The rest of money falls to criminal groups controlling pirates' activities.
According to UN's information, number of crimes committed by pirates has been doubled during the last year.
Presently, pirates from poor regions in increasing frequency capture vessels from rich countries despite warships of leading world powers escorting them, says the UN report.
