Submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) Bulava can be commissioned in the middle 2011, reported Interfax citing a top-ranking official from Navy Main HQ.

"It is planned to conduct two more test launches till the current year is over. Once they are successful as the latest one, it would be reasonable to bring up a question of fastest termination of the missile's trial program. Presumably, Bulava can be commissioned in the middle of the next year", said the interviewee.

According to him, commission of SLBM Bulava will kick off serial production; the missile will become the major weapon of Project 955 Borei nuclear subs.

"Lead sub of the project SSBN Alexander Nevsky is ready to test the new missile system", said the interviewee.
